1 Month in the united states - 2 weeks Florida

Right after my au pair year, I started my travelmonth. I started in Oklahoma and spent about 2 weeks there. At this time I also had a roadtrip to see and explore some other states like arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. In Kansas I spend a whole weekend to visit my hostgrandparents and my hostuncle.

The last 10 days of my travelmonth I visited Florida. I rent a car, started in Orlando, drove up to Jacksonville and went all the way down to key west  (I know it doesn't even makes sense, but it really looked sensefull to me when I planed it. But when I drove down to key west, I drove from east, to west, back to east and to west again. All the time, until I ended up in the keys). Just to see as much as I can.
I slept most of the nights in the rental car to safe some money, except 3 nights to get some good sleep and a good shower.

During this vacation I saw places like Jacksonville, Miami, Hollywood, Tempa, Sanibel Island, the keys included key west, clearwater, the everglades and some state parks like silver spring glen, Ravine garden and Crystal River.

Florida is really beautiful. I love the wet air, I love all the palmtrees, I love the tropical areas, it's just beautiful. The only thing I was sad about, was the beaches. Maybe it's because of a bad season, maybe because I just lived in hawaii for a year, but a lot people told me that Florida has beaches who look like the Caribbean. If that is true, I can tell you, Hawaiian beaches are so much more beautiful.

Good thing is, I love beaches anyway. I just need the sand between my toes, the sound of waves in my ears and the horizon in my eyes. By the way is the ocean water really really warm. So if it's too hot for you, don't think about to cool down in the ocean. Better take a cold shower.
